The Jewish religious leaders are becoming more and more upset and threatened by Jesus; much of his ministry has exposed their pride and self-righteousness. Matthew records here two debates between these leaders and Jesus.

1. Matthew 12:25 - Are you hurt or angry because of anyone in your family or community? Tell God that you trust him with those things, and allow him to begin helping you by verbally forgiving those people.
2. Matthew 12:35 - Do you struggle with any practices or habits that you know are not godly? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the heart issues that cause these behaviors. Spend some time listening and writing down what you hear him saying to you.
3. Matthew 12:36 - How mindful are you of the words you say? Practice mindfulness by writing out a prayer for God to purify your heart and words.
