Following a miraculous display of Jesus’ divinity in his transfiguration on the mountain, Matthew shows how even the disciples were still a bit conflicted and confused about what it really meant for him to be the Messiah.

1. Matthew 17:20 – Is there anything in your life that feels impossible right now? Pray for a renewed, heavenly perspective, and ask God to help you live in greater faith.
2. Matthew 17:23 – Has there been anything in your life recently that has caused you grief, sadness, or a feeling of loss? Invite the Holy Spirit to lead you through a healthy process of healing, hope and redemption, especially anything specific that comes to mind.
