Following an extended teaching about God’s kingdom, Matthew now records some examples of Jesus establishing that kingdom on earth. These examples of his healing power work to confirm that Jesus is the promised Messiah.

1. Matthew 8:3 – Do you believe God wants to help you? Ask God to reveal his heart more deeply to you in the coming weeks.
2. Matthew 8:8 – Do you believe God is able to help you? Ask God to reveal his power more clearly to you in the coming weeks.
3. Matthew 8:17 – Who do you know that needs God’s healing? Ask Jesus to show his love to them and to help you be a source of hope and encouragement.
