The Definition YA residency program exists to empower recent college graduates to be full-time missionaries to the college campus through the local church.

We believe that the years just after college are incredibly important. You are making some of the biggest decisions of your life. What will you peruse? How will you define success in life? Who will you surround yourself with? Who will you marry? Because we believe in the value and impact of those years right after college, we have created the Definition YA Residency Program.

The Definition YA Residency is so much more than a job. It is an intentional season for you to be developed into God’s best version of yourself while devoting your full focus to making Jesus known on the college campus. This program is designed to stretch you, mold you, and equip you to live a life on mission; whether that be in full-time ministry, in the workforce, or anywhere else God may lead you.

Residents will work full-time, 40-hour work weeks as a part of the Definition Church Staff. They will be assigned leadership roles within the Young Adult Ministry where their primary focus will be outreach and discipleship on the college campus. Residents will put their whole focus on serving college students, investing in those that are in the season they themselves just came out of. Under the leadership of the Definition Young Adult Director, residents will be pushed to grow spiritually and equipped to use their gifts to lead others into what God has for them.

This program is designed for highly committed, self-starting recent college graduates who:

  1. Want to invest an entire season of their life into reaching the college campus before entering the workforce
  2. Want to gain full time, hands-on ministry experience within the local church
  3. Have graduated college within the last three years
  4. Want to learn to use their gifts in the context of vocational ministry

Residents will:

  1. Be very involved in evangelism and discipleship on local college campuses
  2. Oversee and develop small group ministry on local college campuses
  3. Receive a full scholarship to the Cultivate Leadership Institute where they will be enrolled as students during the first year of their residency
