Build His House
For over 20 years, we’ve seen God move through Definition Church—changing lives, growing community, and leading us every step of the way.
Now, He’s opened the door to 40 acres in northern Greensboro. Build His House is more than a building project—it’s a faith-filled step toward the future. A chance to take ground, make space, and reach more people with the hope of Jesus.
This is about people. This is about purpose.
Now is the time to build
Phase 1
This 31,000 sq ft facility in Northern Greensboro will launch as a second permanent campus, with space designed for worship, kids, teams, and staff. It will also serve as a strategic home for Youth, College, and city-wide gatherings.
As part of this phase, we’ll also prepare the land for future growth and invest in much-needed upgrades to our Hunter Hills campus.
Goal: $26M | To begin, we need $10M in hand.
Phase 1 Quick Facts
- 36 acres purchased for $7M (valued at $11.82M)
- 31,000 sq ft facility with 500-seat auditorium
- Safe, engaging Kids ministry environments
- Sunday team spaces and staff offices
- A/V, production systems, furnishings, and tech
- Site development for Phase 1 & Phase 2
- Architecture, design, and permitting
- Upgrades to Hunter Hills campus: AVL + environments
- Everything on-site ready for Phase 2 construction

Phase 2
Phase 2 will expand our capacity even further with a 70,000 sq ft broadcast campus on the same property. This future facility will become the central hub of Definition Church—hosting large gatherings, increasing production capabilities, and anchoring our growing vision.
Once complete, the Phase 1 building will transition into a dedicated space for Youth and College, as well as a flexible venue for events and overflow worship.
Phase 2 is part of our long-term plan, but construction timing will depend on future giving and church growth.

FAQs
How long is the campaign?
Giving to the campaign is a marathon, not a sprint. The giving period begins in November 2025, and runs for 2 years and 2 months, through the end of 2027. Some people will choose to give weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, randomly, or in one lump sum. All of these options will help us accomplish this vision. Many will set up recurring giving online via the website.
What if I can’t give a large amount?
Every gift matters. This isn’t about equal giving, it’s about equal sacrifice. When each person says yes to God’s leading, together we can do something extraordinary.
What if I cannot give right now?
We totally understand that not everyone has the financial margin to give "over and above" or "extra" funds. We have always been a church rooted in grace and freedom. Grace says there is nothing we can do to earn or lose God's favor, because He has already shown us His love in the gospel. If you are unable to give right now, please stay engaged in the life of the church in the ways you are able.
Should I reduce my regular giving to support the campaign?
Please do not. Our church has a ministry-focused general fund budget that depends on the faithful tithes and offerings of our congregation. Capital campaign giving is "over-and-above" giving and over a two-year period.
Will we still meet at Hunter Hills?
Yes! Hunter Hills will remain an active campus. We’re also making AVL and environmental upgrades there so that both campuses have an excellent experience and continue to grow.
Is there a timeline for Phase 2?
Not yet. While Phase 2 is part of our long-term vision, there’s no set timeline. Phase 1 includes the sitework to prepare the land, but our current focus is on fully funding and completing the first phase. The speed at which we can accomplish this vision is dependent on the generosity of our church.
Can I update my commitment later?
Absolutely. We understand life changes. You can adjust your giving commitment at any time by contacting our finance team.
When is Commitment Sunday?
Commitment Sunday is November 2, 2025. This is when our church family will bring their completed commitment cards during our Sunday worship experiences.
