God's Story: Is There Room for Me?

Sometimes we wonder, “Do I really belong?” God knows our whole story, loves us completely, and still chooses us. He doesn't simply erase our past; He rewrites our story by writing us into His story.

REVIEW: Love People!

READ: Joshua 2:14
“We offer our own lives as a guarantee for your safety,” the men agreed. “If you don’t betray us, we will keep our promise and be kind to you when the Lord gives us the land."

DISCUSS: Where is God calling you to love someone through your words, your actions, and your faithfulness, even when it may cost you something?

REVIEW: Believe in People.

READ: John 15:16
“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

DISCUSS: Is there a situation in your life that God is asking you to see through the lens of possibility rather than limitation, and what do you think that reveals about your own faith?

REVIEW: Lead People.

READ: Joshua 2:18
“When we come into the land, you must leave this scarlet rope hanging from the window through which you let us down. And all your family members—your father, mother, brothers, and all your relatives—must be here inside the house.”

DISCUSS: What next step might God be asking you to take in moving closer to Jesus and/or helping someone else move closer to Him,.... even if it requires patience, truth, or courage?

Where is God inviting you to love people, believe in people, and lead people toward Jesus?

PRAY

Jesus, thank You that You know us, love us, and choose us. Help us love people, believe in people, and lead people toward You. Show us where You are drawing us beyond our comfort zones and give us the courage to follow You. Help us show others that they are known, loved, and chosen. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

INVITATION TO RESPOND

This week, make room for someone God is placing in your path.

• • Pray: Begin each day by asking God to open your eyes to the people around you and show you where He wants you to make room for someone else.
  • Connect: Start a conversation with one person you might normally overlook. Listen well, ask questions, and be fully present.
  • Speak Hope: Speak hope to at least one person this week. Encourage them and remind them that their present circumstances do not have to define their future.
  • Grow: Ask God to reveal what He is changing in you as you walk with others. Practice patience, compassion, courage, and truth.
  • Invite Accountability: Invite a trusted person to speak truth into your life and hold you accountable to what God is showing you. Be willing to receive honest feedback and take your next step toward Jesus.

God has made room for you in His story. Now let Him use your story to make room for someone else.
