Giving Hope Information 2023
What is Giving Hope?
Giving Hope is about giving children more than just a gift under the tree. By sharing the love of Jesus with them, we are giving them the lifelong gift of hope. We will be hosting a Christmas Shopping Mall Experience on December 16th, where selected families in need can come to receive Christmas gifts and experience the hope of Jesus. Parents will get to partner with their Giving Hope Host to personally shop for their children and have the gifts wrapped by our team. Children will have their own special experience where they will enjoy music, snacks and hear the Christmas story. Families will also have the opportunity to pray with our ministry team.
Shopping
By participating in Giving Hope, you have the opportunity to share the hope of Jesus with a child and help make their Christmas meaningful by purchasing gifts they’d otherwise not receive. Our goal is that each child would be able to receive 3-4 quality gifts that will last (valued at $20-35 each). Feel free to shop for sale items. Drop Off
We will be collecting gifts in the main lobby during our Sunday morning experiences. Once you’ve completed your shopping, please bring the Giving Hope tag and all gifts, unwrapped, back to Definition Church by Sunday, December 3rd.
Other Ways to Participate
We understand that the Christmas season can be a busy time for many families and it may be hard to shop in-person for these items. If you would still like to participate, you can donate at the Giving Hope station in the lobby or order these items on Amazon to send directly to Definition Church. If you’re ordering gifts from Amazon, please put “Giving Hope” in the name section of the order.

We would love for each child to receive a Bible for Christmas. If you would like to include a Bible in addition to the gifts you purchase, here are our suggestions for each age group:

Additional Information
- As you spend time shopping and preparing, we encourage you to cover these children and their families in prayer.
- If you would like to donate wrapping paper and/or tissue paper, we will collect these items along with the gifts on Sunday mornings.
