Definition Kids
Kids move through nursery, preschool, and elementary environments built for how they learn at each stage. We use the Hyfi curriculum from Lifeway, so every lesson helps kids understand who God is and who He says they are, from 6 weeks old through 5th grade.
Every kids team member passes a background check and completes abuse prevention training before they ever work with your child. Check-in and pickup use matching security tags, so you always know exactly who has your kid.
Between worship, Bible lessons, and small groups, kids get their own space to make friends and just be a kid while they learn about Jesus. It’s a place we actually want them asking to come back to.
About Us
Dr. Allen Holmes and his wife Tina moved from Wilmington to Greensboro in October of 2000 to start pastoring Definition Church. The church was 35 people back then. Allen preaches out of his own story of failure and redemption, and one line comes up in almost every message: “Failure isn’t fatal.” He wants people to know the Christian life isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s a lifelong journey with Jesus, and he means it when he says anyone can take that journey, no matter where they’re starting from.
At Definition Church, there’s something for everyone. We offer Kids Ministry from birth through elementary school, Youth Ministry and Groups for middle and high school, and College Ministry and College Groups.
Following Jesus isn’t something you have to figure out alone. Here’s the path we walk together.
