The world teaches us to live by reason alone, but Jesus renews our hearts to see as He sees. When the eyes of our heart are enlightened by the Spirit (Ephesians 1:18), we begin to reflect His compassion and be transformed into His likeness.

REVIEW: Jesus sees us through the eyes of His heart..

  • READ: John 11:35 — “Jesus wept.”
  • DISCUSS: Why is it significant that Jesus wept, even though He knew resurrection was coming? What does this say about His heart for us?

REVIEW: Jesus invites us to see like He sees.

  • READ: Ephesians 1:17–19 — "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe."
  • DISCUSS: What does it mean for the “eyes of your heart” to be opened? How might this change the way you relate to your family, friends, or even your past wounds?

REVIEW: Compassion leads to connection.

  • READ: 2 Corinthians 3:18 —“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”
  • DISCUSS: What helps you reflect Jesus to the people around you? Where is that hard? How can you grow in this?

REVIEW: Gospel Reflection.

  • READ: John 11:43–45 — “When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!’ The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, ‘Take off the grave clothes and let him go.’ Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him.”
  • DISCUSS: Jesus didn’t just raise Lazarus—He included the people in his restoration. What “grave clothes” is Jesus calling off of you? Who has He placed in your life to help you walk in freedom?
