The New Covenant is not just about forgiveness—it is about God’s presence. In Acts 2, we see God doing something He had promised for generations: not merely dwelling among His people, but living within them. The church is born not by human effort, but by the power of the Holy Spirit.

REVIEW: Who is the Holy Spirit?

READ: 1 Corinthians 6:19 –
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?”

DISCUSS: Why does it matter that the Holy Spirit is a person and not just a force or feeling? How does knowing that God lives in you change the way you see your everyday life?

REVIEW: The Holy Spirit points people to Christ.

READ: Acts 1:8 –
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…”

DISCUSS: How have you seen God use people—or use you—to point others toward Christ?

REVIEW: The Holy Spirit unites and transforms believers.

READ: Acts 2:42 –
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

DISCUSS: Where might God be inviting you to grow in love, humility, or Christlike character?

ASK

Is the Holy Spirit simply present in your life—or is He leading, shaping, and filling you daily?

PRAY

Holy Spirit, thank You for living within us and making us God’s dwelling place. Help us to follow Your lead, to point others to Jesus, and to grow more like Christ in how we love and live. Fill us again today so that our lives reflect Your power and Your presence. Amen.

INVITATION TO RESPOND

This week, respond to the work of the Holy Spirit in intentional ways:

  • Participate in Seven Days of Prayer and Fasting!
  • Acknowledge His presence: Begin each day by praying, “Holy Spirit, lead me today.”
  • Point to Jesus: Look for one opportunity this week to speak about or reflect Christ through your words or actions.
  • Pursue unity: Choose patience, humility, and love in a relationship where tension exists.
  • Stay filled: Spend time in Scripture, prayer, worship, and obedience so your heart stays open to the Spirit’s work.
  • Live on mission: Ask how God might use your time, resources, and compassion to bless others through the church.

The church is strongest when it is Spirit-filled. Let’s be a people who burn with faith, love deeply, and follow the Spirit wherever He leads.
