Who is Definition Church?

REVIEW: Definition Church is redemptive.

  • ‭‭‭‭READ: Ephesians 1:7 “He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.”
  • DISCUSS: How have you experienced God’s restoration and redemption in your life?

REVIEW: Definition Church is diverse.

  • READ: Galatians 3:28 “There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
  • ‭‭DISCUSS: Where are the spaces in your life where you can interact with and learn from those who are different from you?

REVIEW: Definition Church is authentic.

  • READ: 1 John 1:7 “But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.” 
  • DISCUSS: Are there any general areas of life in which you have difficulty being open and honest about? 

REVIEW: Definition Church remains focused on Jesus.

  • READ: Matthew 6:10 “May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”
  • ‭‭DISCUSS: How are you able to participate in honoring Jesus and sharing his gospel with others in this season of life?

REVIEW: Definition Church is balanced.

  • READ: James 2:17 “So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.”

REVIEW: Definition Church is empowering.

  • READ: Ephesians 4:11-12 “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”

  ASK:

What else did you get from this week's sermon? What actions or next steps can you take to apply it to your life?

  PRAY:

That we would each personally represent Jesus more accurately, and that we would all corporately join together in presenting the world a clear picture of God’s heart.
