- READ: Luke 10:40–41 — “But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.’ But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things.’”

ASK:
What else did you get from this week's sermon? What actions or next steps can you take to apply it to your life?
PRAY:
Jesus, thank You that You gently call our names and invite us close. You see when we’re anxious, striving, or trying to hold it all together. But You offer peace instead of pressure, and rest instead of running. Help us choose the better portion—to sit with You, to trust You, and to receive all You have for us. Remind us that we are loved, not for what we do, but because we belong to You. In Your Name we pray, Amen.
INVITATION TO RESPOND:
Let this story be a personal call from Jesus to come closer. Not to do more, but to be with Him.
- Draw near: Jesus wants your heart, not your hustle. Make time this week to simply be with Him.
- Lay down your burdens: Bring your anxiety, fear, and questions to Jesus. He cares.
- Read each of the seven moments in Scripture where God calls someone by name—twice. As you read, pause and reflect: What might God be saying to you today? Is He calling you to surrender, to draw near, to trust, to go? Write down what you sense God saying to you.
