We must learn to control our money, or our money will destroy us.

REVIEW: God wants us to love Him more than money.

  • READ: 1 John 2:15 “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.”
  • ‭‭DISCUSS: What are some of the financial temptations or challenges you are experiencing right now?

REVIEW: Giving builds my character and faith.

  • READ: Luke 12:48 “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.”
  • READ: Hebrews 11:6 “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”
  • ‭‭DISCUSS: How have moments of generosity impacted you personally?

REVIEW: Giving allows me to identify with Christ and make a difference.

  • READ: John 15:8 “When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.”
  • ‭‭DISCUSS: Do you give consistently to the church? If so, how has it impacted your life? If not, what do you feel is keeping you from doing so?

  ASK:

What else did you get out of the sermon this week? What actions or next steps can you take to apply it to your life?

  PRAY:

Pray for a deeper trust in God’s provision, stronger compassion for the people he has called us to reach, and the courage to trust God with our money.
