At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus—but throughout the story, we see the Holy Spirit actively announcing, conceiving, and inspiring worship around His arrival. Christmas reveals not only who Jesus is, but how God works through His Spirit.

REVIEW: The Holy Spirit announces Christmas.

READ: Luke 1:41–45 –
“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit… ‘Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her!’”

DISCUSS:
How do you see the Holy Spirit encouraging faith and confirming God’s promises in this passage? Where might God be inviting you to slow down and listen to His voice?

REVIEW: The Holy Spirit conceives Christmas.

READ: Luke 1:35 –
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”

DISCUSS:
What does this verse teach us about God’s power to bring new life? How does knowing God’s Spirit lives within you shape your gratitude and confidence?

REVIEW: The Holy Spirit inspires worship at Christmas.

READ: John 4:23–24 –
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth.”

DISCUSS:
Why is worship the natural response to God’s presence? What does Spirit-led worship look like beyond singing songs?

ASK

What part of the Holy Spirit’s work at Christmas stands out to you most—and why?

PRAY

Holy Spirit, thank You for announcing hope, bringing new life, and leading us into worship. Open our hearts to hear You, trust You, and respond to You this Christmas season. Help us live lives that honor Jesus and reflect Your work in us. Fill us with peace, joy, and bold faith as we make room for You in every part of our lives. Amen.

INVITATION TO RESPOND

This week, respond to the Spirit’s work:

  • Listen: Intentionally slow down and create space to hear what God is saying—through Scripture, prayer, and quiet moments where you’re not rushing past His voice.
  • Trust: Choose to believe that God is actively at work in your life, even when you can’t see the full picture or understand the process.
  • Worship: Let your obedience, gratitude, and surrender be an expression of worship that honors Jesus—not just in songs, but in how you live.
  • Follow: Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your daily decisions, habits, and rhythms as you walk with Jesus one step at a time.

The Spirit who announced Christ’s birth is still at work today—inviting us to trust, worship, and follow Jesus.
