Your future is in God’s hands, He is the author of our story and He is writing His story through us. When we are trying to understand the next season of the journey, often it helps to look back.

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

What else from this week’s message was particularly memorable?

PRAY

Jesus, help us to hold fast to you in every season of our lives. Teach us to place complete and total trust in you while life is happening all around us. We pursue a deeper love for you in every moment of our lives! In Your name we pray, Amen.

INVITATION TO RESPOND

Are you in a season of uncertainty, a season of transition, are you struggling to find your way?... Maybe it’s time to look back and see where God has brought you from. Here are some ways you can do that this week.

Look Back: Take some time each and write out where God has brought you from and how his mercy and grace have sustained you.

Be Present: Be “in the moment” with God. Slow down, meditate on God, and acknowledge Him in the challenges and successes during the day no matter how great or small.

Lock In: Intentionally take the time to look to Jesus in the moments you know would normally rattle you. This may take some intentionality to accomplish. (Use a mid-day prayer walk or sit in the car and breathe Him in for a moment using worship music or quiet time etc.)

Be Thankful: Take time each day to honor and praise God for where He has brought you from and HIs plans for your future.

Look Ahead: Surrender your heart and plans to God daily by giving Him real time to speak to you. Give Him your plan and hear and study His plan for you. (Start with five minutes of speaking, ten minutes of listening, and a journal to write in.)

“You may not be able to see the road ahead. But you can look back and remember the God who brought you this far.”
