From the beginning, God’s mission for His church has been clear: make disciples of all nations. In Acts we see how the early church grew rapidly—not through programs, but through people fully committed to prayer, the Spirit, unity, generosity, and participation in God’s mission.

REVIEW: A church on mission is a praying church.

READ: Matthew 7:7–8 –
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

DISCUSS: What does our prayer life reveal about what we truly desire? How could intentional prayer for our city, friends, and family change the spiritual climate around us?

REVIEW: A church on mission is empowered by the Holy Spirit.

READ: Luke 1:49 –
“For the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is his name.”

DISCUSS: What is the difference between living for our own agenda and living surrendered to God’s purposes? What practices help keep God at the center of our lives?

REVIEW: A church on mission is bold about the gospel.

READ: Acts 4:13 –
“When they saw the courage of Peter and John… they realized that they had been with Jesus.”

DISCUSS: Where does true spiritual boldness come from? Who in your life might God be prompting you to pray for or invite to church?

REVIEW: A church on mission is united around Jesus.

READ: John 13:35 –
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

DISCUSS: Why is humility essential for unity in the church? How can we pursue Jesus together instead of becoming distracted by personal preferences?

REVIEW: A church on mission is generous and sacrificial.

READ: Matthew 6:21 –
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

DISCUSS: How does generosity shape our faith and priorities? In what ways does giving redirect our hearts toward God’s kingdom?

REVIEW: A church on mission is a participating church.

READ: 1 Corinthians 12:27 –
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

DISCUSS: Why is there no such thing as a spectator Christian? What gifts or opportunities might God be calling you to use for His mission?

ASK

What step is God inviting you to take so you can participate more fully in His mission?

PRAY

Lord Jesus, align our hearts with Your mission. Fill us with Your Spirit, unite us in love, and give us courage to share the hope of the gospel. Help us live generously, serve faithfully, and participate fully in the work You are doing in our city and around the world. Amen.

INVITATION TO RESPOND

This week, take a step toward living on mission:

  • Pray intentionally for your friends, family, coworkers, and city.
  • Surrender your priorities and ask God to guide your daily decisions.
  • Invite someone to church or Easter services.
  • Practice generosity as an act of gratitude and trust in God.
  • Participate in the life of the church by connecting, serving, and encouraging others.

God’s mission moves forward when His people pray, surrender, and step into the work He has prepared for them.
